MYCORRHIZAL NETWORK OF OAKS, single-channel video, 1:31 min.,
MYCORRHIZAL NETWORK OF OAKS is an offering to bridge worlds, a way to encounter the sacred grounds of more-than-human wisdom. Through attentive observation, sensing of the healthy forest's ability to communicate and exchange nutrients through a web of root connections surrounded by mycelium as the facilitator. The oscillation between the underground and what's above, transforming light and minerals into matter and O2, are at the heart of this inquiry.
It was a great honor to visit the main performer and ask her in whispers about the wisdom of over 800 years.
